Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
All inflatables need a level space. This space can be on a hard surface but we do prefer that it was on grass. We do not allow the larger inflatables to be put on a hard surface outdoors. This area also needs to be free from any sharp objects. The space needs to be the size of the castle plus an extra 2 foot either side to allow for staking down and an extra 2 foot at the front and back to allow for the fan at the back and for people to enter and exit safely from the front. This space needs to be clear of any overhanging objects such as trees, plants, washing lines, etc.We also need an appropriate access point to the site the inflatable is going to be erected at. The bigger castles are very large and will not go through small alleyways, etc. We can take inflatables through houses, however this can only be done with the smaller bouncy castles and we do not accept any responsibility for personal loss or injury as a result of doing so. Please make sure you have the space available before you book.
WHAT IS THE HIRE PERIOD?
In the summer we make our first delivery around 8am with the aim of having all inflatables delivered by around 11am and collect in the evening from 6pm till late. This is to ensure that they are all put safely away ready for the next customer. It is possible to arrange other hire periods, this can be discussed on an individual basis.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS WET?
We cannot be held responsible for inclement weather and reserve the right not to deliver/set up an inflatable if we feel it is unsafe to do so due to the weather conditions. If we do not deliver your inflatable for this reason there will obviously be no charge made to you. In addition you may also cancel the booking due to bad weather at your own discretion with no cancellation charge. Please note that using inflatables in heavy rain and high winds can be very dangerous, any company that says otherwise are thinking more about money than safety.
DO I HAVE TO STAY WITH THE EQUIPMENT?
Once you have signed the disclaimer form you will be held fully responsible for the safety of people using the equipment and for the equipment itself. When the equipment is in use you will need to be present to make sure that it is being used in the correct manner. If the equipment is dirty or damaged you will have to pay an additional charge.
CAN WE COLLECT FROM YOU?
No, we do not allow customers to collect inflatables. This is for safety and insurance reasons.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
No.
CAN WE MOVE THE INFLATABLE?
No, once erected the inflatable must not be moved even if it rains.
HOW DO WE PAY?
We accept cash on delivery only. If you prefer to pay by cheque (made payable to Corfe Castles) then it must be sent in advance and cleared in our account before we deliver the castle.
CAN ADULTS USE THE BOUNCY CASTLES?
Yes the 16ft x 16ft bouncy castle and the 18ftx20ftx25ft giant slide can be used by adults.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we carry liability insurance. However this insurance is to cover us in case of an unlikey claim that an incident has occurred which has been caused by our negligence or for when we are manning the equipment. You may want to arrange your own insurance to cover yourself.
ARE YOU MEMBERS OF ANY TRADE ORGANISATIONS?
Yes, we are members of the B.I.H.A. (British Inflatable Hirers Association).
HOW DOES THE INFLATABLE WORK?
A high power fan is used to inflate the unit, this is plugged in to the mains electric (unless a petrol blower is being hired). We use safe cables with a fitted RCD breaker as standard, they are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The blower runs continuously, however, it may be switched off at the mains should you wish to deflate the unit at any time. The unit uses approximately £1 - £1.50 a day.
THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY SUPPLY FOR MY INFLATABLE?
If you have no mains electric supply then you can hire a petrol blower from us with petrol subject to an extra hire charge of £30. This will keep your bouncy castle running for approx 4/5 hours.
WHAT IS SUPPLIED?
The inflatable comes with a blower, ground sheet, pegs or weights, safety mats and fitted shower covers. Free delivery and set up in the local area.
HOW SAFE ARE YOU?
Our equipment is all tested and the inflatables also have an annual safety test. We use rain proof leads with RCDs fitted as standard. The delivery driver will inspect the erection site and advise of any potential safety hazards, Please note that if the driver asks you to move an object then you must comply or your inflatable may not be left and you will still have to pay the full cost of hire. We are not just about making money we want to make your day fun, and most of all as, we want to make it as safe as possible.
